Baldwin's Auctions has a dedicated team of specialists heading up its entertainment department. Collectively, the team have over 50 years of experience buying, selling, trading and auctioning items across trading cards, video-games, comic books and other pop culture collectibles.
With the phenomena of trading cards taking the world by storm, Baldwin's Trading Card Auctions is proud to offer Pokemon, Magic the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! to its regular auction schedule as of 2023.

Pokémon
The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) is a collectible card game based on the popular Pokémon franchise, created by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori. Developed and published by Nintendo, the TCG was first introduced in 1996 as an extension of the Pokémon video games and animated series.
Yu-Gi-Oh!
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game is a collectible card game developed and published by Konami. It is based on the fictional game of Duel Monsters created by manga artist Kazuki Takahashi. Yu-Gi-Oh! celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023 and its most iconic card, a 1st edition Blue-Eyes White Dragon sold at auction for over $35,000.
Magic: the Gathering
Magic: The Gathering, released by Wizards Of The Coast in 1993, is considered the first trading card game that popularised the phenomenon of collecting and trading. It is extremely popular with approximately 35 million active players.

Our experience
The new team is led by trading card and video game specialist and auctioneer Roy Raftery who has spearheaded the recent shift in the UK auction collectibles market towards pop culture.
Team member Tom Hall is a master of arbitrage, traveling the world in order to best leverage local prices and sellers. His expansive contact network includes everything from power traders to influencers and ensures that he always has something to chase.
Jamie Akers has 13 years of customer-facing experience. From humble beginnings in the comic book and video game worlds, he later transitioned into TCGs, making a name for himself thanks to his rare skillset, as a specialist across several collectible categories.
